Asteroseismology uses the natural oscillations of stars to determine properties of those stars. However, the properties of the oscillations themselves are influenced by the presence of magnetic fields. In this project, we will search for evidence of the impact of changing magnetic fields on the oscillations of stars.
We will also consider the causes of the changes in oscillation properties, such damping and excitation rates, linking to models of convection.
