Grant Description

The project will be an exploration of primarily post-cranial anatomical changes occurring in mammals from the mid-late Cenozoic through to the early Eocene.

These changes will be characterised by micro-CT analysis and biomechanical modelling of specimens to explore the likely structure and functionality of their limbs, and will attempt to relate this to environmental and paeleobotanical data for their localities to create a meaningful picture of their lifestyles.
