The discovery of the gauge-gravity dualities (aka, holography) revolutionised theoretical physics, providing a new computational tool alongside a way to understand hard conceptual and formal problems in string theory.
This framework provides a new interdisciplinary connection between formal developments in supergravity and string theory on one side, and applications of field theory to extensions of the Standard Model on the other.
The project will further develop existing calculation tools provided by gauge-gravity dualities, and seek new applications at the frontiers of particle physics, including possible to models of electroweak symmetry breaking and of dark matter, for possible implications for the physics of the early universe and the relic stochastic background of gravitational waves.
