Grant ID 2893808
Grant Description

This studentship will focus on the analysis of data from the near detector of the Tokai to Kamioka (T2K) experiment and its use in the measurement of oscillation parameters.

Near detector samples are used to constrain systematic uncertainties associated with the flux and cross-section via a fit to data. Results from the near detector fit are used in the measurement of neutrino oscillation parameters.

This project will involve incorporating new near detector samples into the near detector fitting framework and performing the fit. In addition, this project will also involve calculating sensitivities for the Hyper-Kamiokande oscillation analysis.
