The project aims to understand the different Greenhouse Gas technologies (GGR) and to provide insight into the methods that can help reach the gigaton level of removal required to meet Paris Agreement targets.
The novelty of this interdisciplinary project is that it aligns research in natural processes, chemical engineering and carbon markets with policy aiming to develop frameworks for the operationalization of large-scale GGR deployment.
The project also aims to identify project-based risks in the value chains of each method, build optimal net-zero aligning portfolios of GGR, understand how private capital can be accessed, and recognize risks posed by GGR towards the natural environment and society.
