The MicroBooNE and DUNE experiments seek to understand the fundamental properties of neutrinos, searching for sterile neutrinos beyond the standard three, understanding and parameterising the mixing and therefore oscillation of the three known flavours and searching for CP violation within the neutrino sector.
I will work on developing the pandora reconstruction software for DUNE's near detector, carry out hardware work on the DUNE anode-plane assemblies and perform analysis of the MicroBooNE runs 1-5 to see whether e+e- signatures within the detector could help explain the low energy electron excess seen by the MiniBooNE experiment.
