Grant Description

I have pursued the MSc Building and Urban Design in Development at UCL, from which i graduated with distinction.

There, i learnt about participatory design and co-production strategies in the Global South, which expanded my knowledge and theoretical and methodological tools.

I was part of diverse fieldwork action-research projects where i worked for and with different communities, i acquired knowledge on how to co-develop an urban strategy by doing a collaborative slum upgrading programme with the community in a township in Yangon, Myanmar and in partnership with the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights.

I also understood how to deliver a community-led development plan working with Deptford Neighbourhood Association in London and co-design dwellings with refugees living in Brescia, Italy, to improve their living conditions.
