Grant Description

The project will attempt to make more precise measurements of gamma using the Run3 data from LHCb. This will include a redesign of the binning scheme, a better evaluation of backgrounds, a possible simultaneous extension. It will also require updated measurement from BESIII.

The project will also take a closer look at the particle PID performance at LHCb upgrade and augment the current calibration tools. This involves improved selection and fit, and more precise determination of systematic uncertainties and also the deployment of the secondary calibration channels.
