Grant Description

This project will focus on improving world knowledge of neutrino interactions on argon using experiments from the Short-Baseline Neutrino programme at Fermilab.

The work will primarily be performed as part of the MicroBooNE collaboration, although the project is expected to incorporate some operations work on the SBND detector during LTA in the second year.

Understanding how neutrinos interact and are reconstructed in argon is vital for the success of the future DUNE experiment, and the student will perform one of the first full-dataset analyses using all of MicroBooNE's five-year data set.
