From recent observations, astronomers discovered "lava worlds" - tidally locked rocky exoplanets (mostly Super-Earths). These show a discrepancy in temperature between the dayside and the nightside. Such celestial bodies are considered to harbour a magma ocean on the dayside.
The aim of this project is to run simulations using StagYY and determine how magma oceans can form/exist on such exoplanets.
