This project aims to improve our understanding of the role channelized basal melting plays in the structural integrity of ice shelves.
The links between channel geometry and large scale ice shelf melting will be investigated by looking at how channels develop and move through both time and space across an ice shelf.
It utilises satellite observations from both CryoSat-2 and IceSat-2, as well as some in-situ measurements of the ice and ocean.
