Monitoring of pharmaceutical contamination in estuaries across the world and assessment of the ecological risks of these molecules in estuarine system

Development of novel approaches to monitor pharmaceuticals in estuarine water samples and application of these in a worldwide estuary monitoring programme, performed under the UN Decade of the Oceans 'Global Estuaries Monitoring Project'. The data will allow, for the first time, the characterisation of pharmaceutical risks to estuaries across the globe.
