Quadrupedal Robot's can be used in many different scenarios where safety and autonomy is mission critical (e.g. disaster site exploration). This type of exploration requires the robot to be able to navigate rough, changing terrain. The following proposal is for a foot placement system that will allow a robot to safely traverse a rough, unstable
environment to achieve a goal.
