This project will work towards the development of a robotic solution to assist urban communities with growing their own produce. Project aims and key questions: 1. User attitude and requirements synthesis a. how do we preserve and promote the health, well-being, social and community benefits of working with and on the land while automating and assisting to increase accessibility
and productivity? b. how might users want to engage with shared assistive robots/ robots for collective purpose? 2. Determine suitable Community - Robot Interaction policies and affordances a. how can we balance assistance and automation for individuals with different wants, needs and capabilities within a community group?
b. how might we evaluate system performance in achieving both community and individual goals? 3. Propose a robotic concept to assist with community urban agriculture 2 4. Create and assess sub- /system prototype usability
