Grant Description

The Brechin group are synthetic inorganic chemists with interests in the areas of coordination chemistry and the magnetic applications of polymetallic complexes of transition metal and lanthanide metal ions.

In particular. we are interested in making molecular nanomagnets, magnetic coolants, supramolecular assemblies of paramagnetic metal ions and applying high pressure to correlate structure with magnetic behaviour.
