Grant Description

On July 28, 2010, Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Seychelles signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) to provide Seychelles with a grant of 6 million USD to help carry out projects to be agreed upon by both parties.

Some of the projects to be carried out with part of the money will be a new building for the judiciary and renovation of the swimming pool at Roche Caïman for the Indian Ocean Island Games to be held here next year. On May 3, 2010, Chinese President Hu Jintao pledged an additional 6 million USD to Seychelles.
