The Foreign Assistance Dashboard, www.foreignassistance.gov, was conceived in early 2010 by the National Security Staff (NSS) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to make U.S. foreign assistance data more transparent and easy to understand. It was developed by the Department of State and USAID under the policy leadership of NSS and OMB.
The Dashboard was a key deliverable of the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review (QDDR), which highlights the importance of embracing transparency and holding ourselves accountable for achieving results. The Dashboard will also be the primary reporting channel for U.S. reporting commitments in the U.S.
National Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership and to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).
