The project aims to develop a novel cooling capability in machining operations. During the grinding process friction can cause the generation of heat which affect the workpiece integrity. Damages can occur in the subsurface modifying the microstructure. Thermal models are therefore developed to study the heat partition and to limit the risk of thermal damages.
