Grant Description

1. Develop advanced capacity for onsite sequencing of influenza isolates; 2.

Sustainability of established viral BSL-2 lab capability to address influenza and influenza like respiratory pathogens relevant to the military environment; 3.

Advance an Influenza-like Illness (ILI) surveillance plan through: Strengthening cooperation with sites recruited to the sentinel network and recruiting new ones, education campaign in reporting sites, implementation of symptom based early warning system for infectious diseases into Polish Armed Forces as in pilot study for new developments and POL Personnel training in applied infectious disease epidemiology.
