This project aims to withdraw 500 children involved in commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) and prevent an additional 1,000 at-risk children from involvement in CSE in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. The project will place CSE on national public agendas and foster collaboration among the countries of the region.
The project will enhance national capacities to improve legislation on CSE and lead to the creation and implementation of public policies and action plans for addressing CSE.
The project will also develop and implement pilot models that aim to eliminate CSE in target communities and provide direct assistance to victims, while fostering an environment of social rejection of CSE through awareness raising and sensitization campaigns. - Through International Labour Organisation.
