Grant Description

EPA safeguards air, water, and land for all Americans. Addressing issues at home is only part of the EPAs environmental effort.

As globalization increases, we gain an understanding of the interdependencies of ecosystems and the transport of pollutants from their sources. It becomes evident that the actions of other countries can affect the U.S. environment. In many cases, it is more efficient to reduce emissions from foreign sources than from domestic ones.
