Grant Description
The Working Party on National Environmental Policies (WPNEP) at OECD has an ongoing project examining the links between environmental policy and technological innovation, drawing upon empirical analysis to form policy recommendations.
EPA provides financial support for this project (EPA Grant X5-83126401), which has been given a "high" priority by both OECD member countries and the USG.
The work on this project to date has included the development of a database on environmental technology patents to assess the effects of environmental policy shocks. Additional work is examining other causal links between environmental policy and technology.
