Grant Description
The Working Party on National Environmental Policies (WPNEP) at OECD has an ongoing project examining the environmental effectiveness and economic efficiency of environmental policy instruments.
EPA provides financial support for this project (EPA Grant X5-83268501), which has been given a "high" priority by both OECD member countries and the USG.
In FY 05, for example, EPA-contributed funds went toward a research program which studies different country experiences with environmental policies to address household waste, non-point sources of water pollution in agriculture, residential energy efficiency and regional air pollution, and mercury.
