Grant Description

This project will support training, awareness raising and capacity building programs which encourage environmentally sound management of hazardous waste and other waste by following a life-cycle management approach and by promoting sustainable development policies.

Support an 18-month project in three countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to develop decision-making tools for the environmentally sound management of mercury waste in the health care sector or in another sector.

The management of mercury waste will be monitored via the development of environmentally sound management plans developed under this cooperative agreement.
