Grant Description

The purpose of the Risk Analysis Mentoring Program is to provide advanced risk analysis training to foreign counterparts.

This mentoring benefits participants by allowing them to work with USDA analysts and learning risk analysis procedures used by USDA.

It benefits USDA by strengthening ties in other countries, and giving us the opportunity to work with those countries when they are conducting PRAs on U.S. exports.

The objective of the visit was to provide advance PRA training to two participants from Egypt so that they can better conduct PRAs, including PRAs on US exports.

The visitors came to PPQ CPHST PERAL (Raleigh, NC) for a period of two weeks and worked with risk analysts on specified risk analysis projects.

During this period, they visitors learned new methods, explored risk analysis resources, and worked on their specified projects to gain greater experience in PRA. From 09/10/2011 to 09/29/2011.
