Mollusk Workshop - The workshop included Identification, Survey, Field Collection, Control, and Eradication of Mollusk Pests.

The "teachers" were two PPQ scientists, one local specialist from Costas y Bosques Foundation ,one APHIS IS, one CAN and one IICA technical staff.

They coordinated and organized approximately 20 attendants from the Ministries of Agriculture of the Andean Community of Nations The purpose was to educate plant health officials in the Andean region in relation to the identification, survey, field collection, control, and eradication of Mollusk Pests, so that those officials can then incorporate this knowledge into their country's strategic plan concerned with mollusks that are harmful to plant health.

This directly supports the APHIS initiative to inform, control and eradicate mollusks from South America. From 09/04/2011 to 09/11/2011.
