USDA and its implementing partners (DOD/DTRA) and Kazakhstani counterparts attended a week-long workshop with veterinary officials and animal health laboratory managers. The objective was to review the status of Threat Agent Detection and Response (TADR) systems, policies and regulations. The workshops improved coordination between Agriculture and Health officials in support of the TADR system.
In Kazakhstan, the workshop included a focus on the 2009 USDA-led assessment. The workshop also clarified Kazakhstan's process to validate the proposed action plan. From 10/30/2010 to 11/06/2010.
