The Center for Veterinary Biologics received a request from Sandia National Laboratories, to send one expert to visit the Al Kindi Veterinary Vaccine production site to do an assessment and provide recommendations for capacity building. The visit increased mutual cooperation and collaboration between USDA APHIS and Iraq.
This cooperation has the potential of promoting the US system of regulations and increasing international trade possibilities for US-produced veterinary vaccines, as well as supporting biosecurity efforts and monitoring/ensuring non-proliferation capabilities of the laboratory. From 11/28/2010 to 12/03/2010.
