APHIS sent a technical assistance team to Mexico to work with SENASICA to build skills of Mexican counterparts regarding CSF epidemiology and field investigation procedures.
The training of Mexican counterparts included the training of specific working groups to review cases and practice the information provided.
The groups conducted simulated disease investigations and demonstrated interest in the material provided by the instructors.
The participation level during the discussion session was very high, and both APHIS and SENASICA personnel benefited from the attendant's feedback.
SENASICA Regional managers committed to train their field personnel, and personnel from private sector operations helped SENASICA. From 01/19/2011 to 01/21/2011.
