I intend to develop a sensitivity driven durability test method development tool for broach impaction handles used for total hip arthroplasty (THA).
Using data analysis and computational tools to identify key sensitivities affecting broach handle durability in THA, I aim to develop an algorithm driven software tool to identify a durability test protocol based on the customers' requirements (e.g. desired life, failure rate, confidence interval) delivering a test with a statistically supported outcome.
This will improve instrument development timelines by reducing the requirement for unique data gathering, analysis and test development for every new instrument, while also improving confidence in the result due to statistical relevance.
