Grant Description

On April 7, 2008, a six-week humanitarian de-mining training course for about 20 military officers from Sudan, sponsored by the Chinese government was inaugurated at the University of Science and Technology of People's Liberation Army in Nanjing. The amount, current status, and actual end date are unknown.

China planned to donate detection and mine sweeping equipment to Sudan at the end of the training (See ID#24558). This project was an important step for China to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan. An umbrella project recording de-mining trainings are recorded in Record ID#784.
