Grant Description

BRAC pioneered the Graduation Approach to address the complex nature of extreme poverty.

It consists of a set of core interventions designed to enable households to overcome the various challenges of extreme poverty and generate sustained improvements in their income, consumption, and overall well-being.

With support from DIV, BRAC will work with the governments of Indonesia and the Philippines to integrate the Graduation Approachs core interventions into current poverty reduction strategies, programs, and budgets.

This award will also support independent research on key design and implementation processes, as well as qualitative research to establish the most effective pathways to scale through governments.

Ultimately, BRAC aims to enable the governments of Indonesia and the Philippines to deliver high-quality Graduation programming to 30,000 households within the award period, and to millions more over the next decade.
