The purpose of the activity is to build the climate resilience of vulnerable communities and sensitive landscapes in the southern rfz by protecting and restoring ecosystem services, using a watershed management approach fostering sustainable productivity and economic inclusion.
The activity will build on past watershed management in Haiti, particularly in the south department, and hone in on key strategic sub-watersheds in the target landscapes. The key sub-watersheds will be determined later during the co-creation process. This goal is supported by two primary intertwined objectives: 1.
Rehabilitate critical sub watersheds; and 2. Strengthen community-led natural resources.
