Grant Description

The purpose of this award is to provide a contribution of in-kind ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) and financial support to treat 24,480 children under five years of age affected by severe acute malnutrition (SAM) for nutrition activities. This award contains a cash component and an in-kind component.

USAID funds under the award will only be used for the approved itsh and section 202(E) funding level of $741,660. Of this, $328,600 will be provided in itsh and $413,060 will be provided in section 202(E) resources.

USAIDs in-kind contribution of 340 mt of RUTF is valued at $1,150,900 (including $1,074,400 in commodity value, and $183,940 for ocean freight).
