Bha is the lead federal coordinator for international disaster assistance, harnessing the expertise and unique capacities of other U.S. Government, non-U.S.

Entities & public international organizations (PIOS) to effectively respond to natural disasters, complex crises by providing emergency and food assistance around the world.

Recipient: united nations world food programme (WFP) the purpose of this award is to provide financial support to united nations world food programme (WFP) for program entitled activity 1 emergency food assistance (in-kind or cash) to food insecure people, including refugees, while supporting national institutions in delivering social and humanitarian aid in Zimbabwe.

The program goal is to provide emergency food assistance to refugees at tongogara refugee camp (TRC) focused on ending hunger and ensuring access to food.

This intervention falls under strategic objective one of the WFPs country strategic (July 2022- December 2026), which seeks to ensure that refugees in trc meet their basic food and nutrition needs through the provision of unconditional food assistance (in-kind food and cash). The total number of beneficiaries that will be supported under this award is 13,900 refugees.
