Grant Description

The activitys purpose is to improve the central and southern Amazon regions governance, management practices, and alternative livelihoods of indigenous nationalities and local communities, which that are driving deforestation and forest degradation.

The activity will promote the conservation and sustainable use of Amazon forest ecosystems in the provinces of Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago, and Zamora Chinchipe to preserve biodiversity, improve the wellbeing of IPLCS, and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
