Digital Invest Accion Venture Lab

This partnership was launched under USAIDs Digital Invest program, a partnership initiative between USAIDs Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub, the Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment Hub (GenDev), and the State Department, under the U.S. Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP).

The Digital Invest program has two objectives: 1) Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive internet service providers (ISPs) in emerging markets, and 2) Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive financial technology companies in emerging markets.

With this Fund, Accion Venture Lab (AVL) aims to invest in earlier stage and higher risk fintech companies in less developed geographies and fintech ecosystems, while continuing to prioritize women-owned-and-operated and locally-owned-and-operated startups.
