Grant Description

PIOs may incur administrative expenses that, while necessary for program execution, do not constitute direct costs under the agreement.

USAID agreements may provide funding to cover these administrative or indirect costs, if requested, as long as the additional compensation does not augment an appropriation of U.S. funds provided to a PIO as a general contribution pursuant to an express authority (see 308.3.9.3) and are reasonable and allocable to the activities funded by USAID.
