Grant Description

To increase youth resilience to conflict and violence in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the Integrated Youth Development Activity (IYDA) will employ an integrated approach that includes interventions in education, economic growth, and health.

This integrated approach will ensure that youth: gain and apply relevant skills for improved educational and social outcomes; are positively engaged in community; are engaged in productive, market-linked livelihoods; and receive information on sexual and reproductive health and referral options for family planning services.

The activity will facilitate economic opportunities for youth, and create an enabling environment at the community level that supports youth in developing a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and empowerment.
