Cooperative Development Program (CDP) - World Council of Credit Unions

Through the CDP APS mechanism and in support of locally-led development, E3/LS will provide funding to the World Council of Credit Unions to implement cooperative development activities in Guatemala, Burkina Faso and Kenya.

Specifically, the World Council of Credit Unions will work with local financial cooperatives and credit unions to improve their organizational capacity and management to increase loans to agricultural cooperatives and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Additionally, the World Council of Credit Unions will utilize digital technology and tailored SME lending toolkits to increase efficiencies and improve internal processes of credit unions and credit union associations.

These field-based activities build the capacity of local, democratic institutions and advance the Agency's objectives of local resource mobilization and self-reliance.
