Through the CDP APS mechanism and in support of locally-led development, E3/LS will provide funding to the US Overseas Cooperative Development Council to conduct global cooperative development research and coordinate a collaborative learning agenda with implementing partners.
Specifically, the US Overseas Cooperative Development Council will carry out a series of studies that address the internal operations affecting cooperative performance and how enabling environments affect a cooperative's ability to function and thrive.
Additionally, the US Overseas Cooperative Development Council will facilitate collaborative working groups among USAID implementing partners to improve how the development community designs and implements cooperative development programming.
These activities build an evidence base for the resilience of local, democratic institutions and advance the Agency's objectives of local resource mobilization and self-reliance.
