Asia Emerging Opportunities (AEO)

USAID will strengthen Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (VCCI) role to coordinate the voice of the private sector, domestic and international, promote administrative reforms, and facilitate Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and private sector engagement in developing the country's much needed infrastructure.

Specifically, the activity will support VCCI's Provincial Competitive Index (PCI) unit and the PPP Committee which play crucial roles in expanding Vietnam's business enabling environment. ..With FY 2021 funds, the activity will support VCCI to further assess and implement PCI's financial sustainability to safeguard independence and operational longevity, and to create a conducive regulatory framework, practices and institutions for PPPs and other types of private sector investment in Vietnam's infrastructure and other sectors. .This activity will contribute to the Mission's CDCS goal of improving Vietnam's business environment and principles that foster participatory, inclusive, transparent, and accountable efforts to advance internationally compliant governance practices with private sector buy-in.

Additionally, the activity promotes the country's resilience, strengthens independence , and bolsters the capacity of Vietnam, a critical partner in the Indo-Pacific Region.
