Grant Description

The purpose of USAID/Southern Africa (USAID/SA) Advancing the South African HIV Response for Key Populations Activity, 2018 -2023, is to reduce HIV incidence and mitigate the impact of HIV in South Africa through the advancement of HIV prevention, care, and treatment services and interventions for key populations, namely sex workers (SW), men who have sex with men (MSM), and transgender (TG) individuals.

The Activity supports the implementation of the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in South Africa, the Government of South Africas (GoSA) National Strategic Plan (NSP) on HIV, TB and STIs (2017-2022), the South African National Sex Worker HIV Plan (2016-2019), and the South African National Lesbian, Gay, Bi Sexual, Transgender HIV Framework (2017-2022).
