Grant Description

The USAID/WBG Pre-service Teacher Education activity improves the quality and relevancy of pre-service teacher education programs at the tertiary level.

Over the life of the activity, two to three pre-service teacher education diploma programs will be upgraded and the capacity of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) to review and accredit pre-service teacher education programs at Palestinian higher education institutions will be improved.With FY 2017 funds, the activity will target three universities and the MOEHE to implement revisions to the pre-service teachers' standards and upgrade the universities' pre-service teacher diploma programs.

In addition, the activity will continue to support the MOEHE to revise the pre-service teacher education policies and regulations and build the capacity of the MOEHE to review and accredit pre-service teacher education programs.
