Grant Description

USAID assistance will increase agricultural incomes and productivity, improve resilience for small-scale farmers and their families, and improve nutrition outcomes in five departments of the Western Highlands.

The project will expand markets through promoting value-added agricultural production, agribusiness competitiveness, and private sector investment in the agricultural sector.

Farmers will diversify production to incorporate higher-value crops, consume a diversified diet, and decrease vulnerability to climate variability, crop pests and diseases, and market shocks.

Small-scale farmers will implement climate-smart agriculture techniques, as well as nutrition-sensitive agriculture, to improve their resilience and food security.
