The Water and Development Alliance (WADA), a public-private partnership between USAID and the Coca-Cola system to address community water needs in developing countries around the world.
This next phase of WADA will build on 12-years of partnership and will continue its in-country programming, with ongoing programs in Madagascar and Nigeria and a program currently under development in Tanzania.
In addition to country programs focus areas on water quality, women's economic empowerment and leveraging both public and private sector core capacities.
WADA II plans to share lessons learned from the partners and the programs through a variety of outlets, including the newly launched website, conference presentations (such as UNC or Stockholm WWW), a series of webinars to engage both local and global leaders, and the release of white papers highlighting opportunities for the U.S. public and private sectors to engage to improve the water and sanitation sectors.
