Toxic Pollution

This cooperative agreement will support the identification of areas severely affected by toxic chemical pollution and solutions to eliminate the threats to health and the environment caused by such pollution.~This is a subject area that is currently a poorly develop program area within USAID but prioritized by Congress.

This activity will focus on providing technical leadership with the ultimate goal of reducing human exposure to toxic chemicals in areas highly affected by toxic chemical pollution.~Reductions in toxic chemical exposure can lead to broad-based economic growth via reduced health impact and reductions in adverse impacts on natural resources.
