Grant Description

The purpose of the Strengthening Political and Electoral Environment for Democracy in Georgia project is to mount credible electoral and political process monitoring activities for the upcoming election cycle in Georgia, which includes 2016 Parliamentary, 2017 local, and 2018 Presidential elections and to inform the public of their recommendations in order to help engage citizens in electoral and political processes.

With the funds, activities will continue: Providing impartial assessment of the elections and political developments based on sound and credible election observation methodology;Increasing awareness on the electoral processes among the citizens of Georgia and other target stakeholders by providing the monitoring findings through periodic reports and statements; Contributing to advancement of political processes in Georgia through developing and following up on recommendations for improved electoral framework.
