The People for Health project will strengthen the capacity of local health non-government organizations (NGOs) to advocate for improved quality and coverage of government health programs, including monitoring and reporting on the quality and local access of provider services and advocating for reforms.
The project will strengthen the role of civil society in malaria and maternal and child health advocacy by training local NGOs in governmental policies that affect health, effective methods of tracking government health resources, and evidence-based advocacy skills.
