Grant Description

The Feed the Future Ethiopia Value Chain Activity will contribute to the GOE's Agriculture Growth Program (AGP II) objective to improve agricultural productivity and the commercialization of smallholder farmers.

This activity has three sub-purposes: increase nutrition-sensitive productivity of targeted value chains; strengthen inclusive market systems and trade; and improve the enabling environment in support of agricultural transformation.

The activity will improve productivity while reducing marketing and associated business costs while creating more effective and competitive value chains.This activity will be implemented in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture's AGP II Coordination Unit, all of its regional and local Coordination Units, the Agricultural Transformation Agency, and donors who contribute towards AGP-II.The activity will also contribute to Component Five of AGP II, Project Management, Capacity Building and Monitoring and Evaluation.
